Green D. Walker
Green "Dean" Walker, 66, of Delphi, died Nov. 13, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette.
Born June 8, 1942, in Cutler, he was the son of Charlie and Mary Parman Walker. His marriage was on Nov. 30, 1962, at Pittsburg to Janet Fuller, who survives.Mr. Walker made his career as a diesel mechanic and in later years retired from Monticello Medical Center.
He was a member of the Pittsburg Missionary Baptist Church.
Also surviving are his mother; four daughters, Wanda Wilcox (husband: David), Christina Hampton (husband: Danny), Rachel Hatfield and Regina Scott (husband: Kenneth), all of Delphi; a son, Roger Walker (wife: Mickey) of Delphi; three sisters, Elizabeth Pottenger of Russiaville, Helen Butcher (husband: Virgil) of Delphi and Toni Martin of Lafayette; four brothers, Charlie Walker (wife: Ruth) of Fairmont, Larry Walker (wife: Ruth) of Delphi, Melvin Walker (wife: Norma) of Tennessee and John Walker (wife: Shirley) of Kokomo; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 16 at Pittsburg Missionary Baptist Church. Burial followed at Pleasant Run Cemetery, Carroll County.
