Norma M. Perigo, 85, of Flora, passed away at 11:14 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, at Home Hospital, Lafayette.

She was born Dec. 14, 1922, in Bringhurst, to Walter and Minnie Whiteman. She graduated from Flora High School in 1941. On Dec. 27, 1941, in Flora, she married Robert A. Perigo. He passed away on April 21, 1999.

Mrs. Perigo was a member of the Flora United Methodist Church and the Flora Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was employed in the kitchen at the Flora School for 23 years, retiring in 1982.

She is survived by one son, Robert W. Perigo (wife: Sharon) of Lakeland, Fla.; one daughter, Susan Tracy of Flora; three grandchildren, Courtney Perigo (wife: Erin) of Tampa, Fla., Harmony Caldwell and Adam Tracy, both of Flora; and one great-grandson, Andrew Caldwell.

Services will be today, Wednesday, at 10 a.m. at Reinke Funeral Home, Flora. Burial will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
