Wayne Fisher, 68, of rural Camden, was flown by Samaritan helicopter to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis with injuries sustained in a fall from a tree-stand while deer hunting.
According to Conservation Officer Todd Pekny, Fisher was not wearing a fall-restraint harness and fell 11 and one-half feet from a homemade stand.
Indiana Conservation Officer Matt Tholen recommends always wearing a fall-restraint harness when hunting from a tree-stand and to never hunt alone.
