Burlington's annual Christmas Walk will be held Saturday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Local businesses will host open houses and vendor booths will be set up from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Maps will be available. Santa will arrive at 5 p.m. to hear all the Christmas wishes of local boys and girls. Parents should plan to bring a camera. The kids coloring page prize drawings will be at 6:30 p.m. The evening will conclude with the lighting of the town Christmas tree at 7 p.m. The event is being sponsored by Burlington area businesses.

Kiwanis Club will meet at 7:30 a.m. Saturday for breakfast and meeting at the fire station.

Community veterans were honored at a special Veterans Day program held Saturday at the Community Park Building. Burlington Masonic Lodge hosted the program in cooperation with the Burlington American Legion. A free meal was served at Treeces in Burlington to 52 members and guests. A memorial service honored Wayne Swaim, who died during the past year.

A Community Thanksgiving Worship Service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the United Methodist Church. David Osborne, interim pastor at the Church of Christ, will be speaker. Refreshments will be served afterwards.

The United Methodist Church will have a Thanksgiving dinner at 6 p.m. Nov. 20 at the church. All are welcome to attend.

Crossroads Community Christian Church will have a Thanksgiving dinner at 5 p.m. Sunday with talent show following at 6.

Game Night will be held at Faith Church of Christ from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 20.
