Delphi Rotary Club

Delphi Rotary met Nov. 4 at the United Methodist Church. Tom Brodar collected the most money for the "Change for a Change" fund.

Ken Lavy and Melanie Mills were inducted as new Rotarians.

Guest speakers Ron Harper and Derek Fisher represented the Carroll County Community Foundation which manages endowed funds to benefit community organizations.

The foundation expects to give $20,000 in grants this year to not-for-profit organizations.

Guest Junior Rotarians from Delphi Community High School were Brett Rogers, Aubrey McCarty, Janna Back and exchange student Lea Stechno.

Wednesday Forum

Members of the Wednesday Forum met at the home of Norma Mullin for their November meeting.

Speaker Jerry Landes recounted the story of how Dave Longaberger, the fifth of 12 children turned his father's basket making experience into the $700 million Longaberger Basket Company.

Members brought their own baskets to the meeting.
