      Charles "Harold" Shanks, 80, of Delphi died at 9:40 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi, where he had been a resident since July. Born Dec. 18, 1927, in Camden, he was the son of the late Floyd E. and Martha S. Shephard Shanks. graduated from Camden High School in 1946. His marriage was Dec. 3, 1950, in Colburn to Opal L.

      James R. Keller, 88, of West Lafayette, died at 4:55 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette. He had been a patient there since last Thursday and in failing health the past six months. Born Oct. 9, 1920, in Owen County, he was the son of the late Fred and Harriette Buskirk Keller.       Norma M. Perigo, 85, of Flora, passed away at 11:14 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, at Home Hospital, Lafayette. She was born Dec. 14, 1922, in Bringhurst, to Walter and Minnie Whiteman. She graduated from Flora High School in 1941. On Dec. 27, 1941, in Flora, she married Robert A. Perigo. He passed away on April 21, 1999.

      William "Ed" Fite, 70, of Monticello, passed away at 4:25 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, in his home. Born May 22, 1938, in Lafayette, he was the son of William and Wanetta White Fite. His marriage was on June 1, 1984, in Monticello to Anna Shepherd, who survives.

Green D. Walker
      Green "Dean" Walker, 66, of Delphi, died Nov. 13, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette. Born June 8, 1942, in Cutler, he was the son of Charlie and Mary Parman Walker. His marriage was on Nov. 30, 1962, at Pittsburg to Janet Fuller, who survives.Mr. Walker made his career as a diesel mechanic and in later years retired from Monticello Medical Center.

      Beatrice Mae Sheets-Hunt, 76, of Rossville, died at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at her residence. Born Feb. 2, 1932, in Monon, she was the daughter of Charles and Elsie Robey Marchand. She attended Francisville High School. On Aug. 30, 1952, she married Valentine Brennard Sheets, who preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 1975.

      Tom D. Landes, 59, of Deer Creek, died Nov. 12, 2008, at his residence. Born Jan. 26, 1949, in Logansport, he was the son of Max and Winifred Pullen Landes. He graduated from Carroll High School in 1967. Mr. Landes was employed at Modine Manufacturing and had formerly worked at Wilson Foods, both in Logansport.

      Phyllis E. Burge Dunkin, 78, of Venice, Fla., formerly of Flora, died at noon on Nov. 12, 2008. Born June 4, 1930, she was the daughter of Arthur W. and Virgie A. Burge.
