A CALL OUT MEETING for the Miss Hoosier Heartland/ Miss White River Valley pageants will be held at 7 p.m. on Nov. 25. The meeting will be in the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library South Branch, at 1755 E. Center Road, Kokomo. The scholarship program is a preliminary to the Miss Indiana America pageant which will be held in Zionsville in June 2009. The Miss Hoosier Heartland Scholarship program is open to young women 17-24 who will graduate from high school by June 2009. Contestants must live or attend school in Cass, Carroll, Clinton, Fountain, Howard, Miami, Montgomery, Tipton, or Tippecanoe counties.
