State Senator Brandt Hershman (R-Wheatfield) has been appointed chair of the Senate Committee on Tax and Fiscal Policy.

Hershman's committee focuses on revenue policies like property, sales and income taxes.

"I appreciate the trust that has been placed in me to serve the people of Indiana and the senate. Many challenges face our state and our economy during these uncertain times," Hershman said

Hershman represents Senate District 7, which includes, Carroll, Clinton, Howard, Jasper, Tippecanoe and White counties.
