Delphi student co-organizes art exhibit at Purdue
An exhibition curated by Master of Fine Arts graduate students, Jasmine Begeske of West Lafayette and Claire Lacy of Delphi will be on display this month at Purdue University.
"Dog-Eared: revealing the contents of artists' books" focuses on works of art realized in the book format or works that explore the concept of bookness.
Ninety-eighty artists will be represented in the exhibit from across the United States, Canada and Australia. Work in the exhibit takes the form of traditional artists' books, sculptural forms, digital books, altered books, editioned works and book objects.
The work will be on display in the Patti and Rusty Rueff Galleries located on Purdue's Campus at 552 West Wood Street in Yue-Kong Pao Hall of Visual and Performing Arts, West Lafayette. The exhibition runs through Nov. 25 and the gallery in open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m, Monday through Friday.
To accompany the exhibit, Kendra Last, book artist from Provo, Utah, will be visiting Purdue University to speak about her work included in the exhibit and her current work. The public is invited to hear her speak on Nov. 13 at 12 noon in Yue-Kong Pao Hall, room1197.
