The 125-year-old Camden bridge over Paint Creek was moved to The Andersons' warehouse, where it will be rehabilitated and painted over a five-month period. A new subfloor and deck will be built with local timber. The big job of moving the 70-foot span with an 18-foot wide deck was given to Stahl Welding of Kokomo. The load traveled at an average speed of 35 mph, with a state police escort. It will eventually be moved to a site over the canal in Delphi.

According to the official count Carroll county has gone Democratic for Bryan by 46 and the entire county ticket is elected with the exception of Thomas Colvin, candidate for Recorder, who was defeated by W.F. Browne by a plurality of 9. The latter gentleman is said to be the luckiest of all the individuals that ever run for a Carroll county office, having been elected four years ago with only 1 vote to spare. Several big surprises were in store for all although it was generally predicted that the silent vote in the county would make a big change in the result, which it did. The majority of the voters in the county have expressed their desire for those who won, so the only way is to accept the verdict as cheerfully as possible.
