Marcellino keeps title but changes counties
Marcellino Paul Marcellino has left his position as Extension Educator in Carroll County and has accepted the same position in Howard County. He started working this week in the Howard County Extension Office.
He served as Extension Educator ANR (Agriculture and Natural Resources) in Carroll County from January 2007 through Oct. 31, 2008.
While serving in Carroll County, he started the Purdue Master Gardener Program, Carroll County Green (bio energy alternatives), and showmanship workshops for the 4-H program, and was instrumental in the establishment of the Carroll County Agriculture Association.
He also led a number of agricultural continuing education and private applicator courses for area farmers to help them attain or retain certification in livestock and chemical applications.
As Carroll County Extension Educator, Marcellino served on the Area Plan Commission, was a county representative with the Economic Development Corporation, and was a non-voting member of the Carroll County Agriculture Association board of directors. He will no longer serve in those capacities.
"I appreciated having the opportunity to do extension programming in Carroll County and hope that the position of Extension Educator ANR will continue to be a part of the extension programming in Carroll County," Marcellino said. "Carroll County has a great program in extension and I do hope that Carroll County will continue to support the programming and take advantage of the many programs the Purdue Extension offers."
Marcellino and his wife, Terri, reside in Liberty Township, Carroll County.
