After a public hearing during which no citizens commented, the area plan commission voted to certify the Carroll County Comprehensive Plan at a meeting Oct. 28. The plan will now go out to each city or town to be certified before it will be presented to the county commissioners.

Steering committee member Miriam Robeson said she believed no one came to question the plan as there was plenty of opportunity for the public to contribute during the writing phase.

"We feel very comfortable with the public comment that we received," Robeson said. "I guess the turnout tonight is evidence that we did our job."
