Fall Sports Summaries

Delphi 7th wins tourney

The 7th grade Lady Oracles dominated both Tri County and Frontier to win the White County Volleyball Tourney. They defeated Tri County 25-10, 25-9 and Frontier 25-14, 25-19.

Delphi had contributions from Hunter Hart who had 14 service points, 6 ace serves and 8 kills; Emma Carpenter with 23 service points, 9 ace serves and 10 kills; Olivia Bieghler with 29 service points, 6 ace serves and led in assists; Lakin Smith with 18 service points, 8 aces; Danielle Allen with 8 service points and 2 kills; and Faith Maxwell with 8 service points and 1 ace. Providing help from the bench were Emily Hicks, Ashley Mills and Kelli Claiborne.

"There was awesome team chemistry with all of the nine Delphi players," said Coach Lisa Ringer.

The Oracles ended their season 11-9 and White County champs.

Special Olympians win Fall Classic

Carroll County's Special Olympics unified and traditional flag football teams are state winners in the Fall Classic State Tournament held at Hamilton Southeastern High School.

Members of the unified team include Jesse Collins, Richard Goyer, Aaron Henlsey, Brian Ward, Nate Gipson, and Mike Satterfield. Jack Stover is coach.

Traditional team members are Kelly Buell, Jesse and Stephen Cadwallader, Josh and Jessica Hartman, Doug Mc- Carty, Ron Rice, Amanda and John Sherman, and Alana Ward. Coaches are Mike Cadwallader and Cindy Wagoner.

Program volunteers include Mary McCarty, Kay Goyer and Rebecca Cadwallader.
