Cougars bound for semi-state

Carroll's varsity girls cross country team moved on as a team to semi-state competition at New Prairie after placing fourth in the Harrison Regional on Saturday. Senior Ashley Bordner also advanced as an individual with her fifth place finish in 19:58. Earlier in the week, the team advanced to the regional after placing fifth in the sectional behind West Lafayette, Harrison, Lafayette Jeff, and Frankfort. With a time of 19:42, Bordner placed fourth. The team is pictured with Airman 1st Class Jason Potts, team members Abby and Hannah Reinke's cousin, who is home on leave and came to cheer on the Cougars. He will be leaving in November for his assignment at Eielson AFB in Fairbanks, Alaska.
