Do you support the commissioners request for earmark funding to pay for the county road extension from SR75 to the Hoosier Heartland Highway?
Yes, why not? All they can say is "No." No, it is irresponsible to ask at this time. What is "earmark funding?"Last Week's results

Although I have a preference for my vote, I am extremely disappointed in the choices we have this time around. Both are US Senators, who already have the Constitutional right to initiate, discuss, vote on, and push legislation, budget approvals, and so on. Here they are as presidential candidates promising all this change, new programs, teamwork with the other side, etc. They have been in the perfect position now for some time to have done all that, yet they both have questionable records on those counts.
My questions are these, "If they are so motivated and capable, and if they have the solutions in mind to fix our national woes, why haven't they accomplished these things already in their current office? How are they going to accomplish it as a president, when the president does not have the Constitutional authority to make laws, adjust and approve budgets, or start new programs? They seem to forget the Separation of Powers enforced by the Constitution."
If you listen to the promises and innuendos, and think about what presidents can actually do about any of those things, so much of what they say is just a wish list to get your vote. Only those ideas that they may happen to share with the legislature will pass, and I haven't seen any president to date that could get the total cooperation of that body, no matter what their party.
Don't forget, everything you want the government to provide for you, comes out of your pocket in additional taxes. European countries have voted to have their governments provide health care and other social benefits, and many of them are paying anywhere from 50% to 80% income taxes! Be careful what you vote for!
