Community awards given
Five businesses are being recognized as Community Enhancement Award winners for their efforts to enhance the visual appeal and business atmosphere of Carroll County.
The awards are presented by Carroll County Economic Development Corporation and Carroll County Chamber of Commerce.
Award recipients are chosen from the four metropolitan areas and the county at-large. This year's winners are:
Burlington - Painted Pony Antiques, owned by Larry Hayes and Missy Harris.
Camden - Camden Auto, owned by Gary and Kelly Robey.
Delphi - Times Past Restoration LLC, headed by Hank Ivy and Kevin Kologinsky, for restoration of the old Masonic Temple for Times Past Antiques.
Flora - Griffin's Auto Service, owned by Tony Griffin.
County - Carroll Manor, where Martha Lewis is director.
They will be recognized at a luncheon in their honor Oct. 30.
