INDOT to hold public meeting to discuss funding requests
The Indiana Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting about applications submitted for federal funds in the recent Transportation Enhancement (TE) Call for Projects. The meeting will be held from 8-9 a.m. (Central time) Oct. 16 in the LaPorte District Office, 315 E. Boyd Blvd., LaPorte.
Among the ten agencies submitting applications is the City of Delphi, requesting additional funds for a boat dock at Canal Park.
Thursday's meeting is being held to give the public and local officials the opportunity to ask questions, make comments, discuss the merits or present concerns for projects that were submitted for consideration. Projects for which additional funds were requested will be given priority in the selection procedure.
The LaPorte District's recommendations will be sent to the TE Project Selection Committee, which will meet Nov. 6 in Indianapolis, for final approval.
