Village Blacksmith was incorrectly identified as the primary contractor on the Wilson Bridge project in last week's commissioners story. According to Carroll County Highway Superintendent Ron Francis, CLR was the primary contractor for the project. Village Blacksmith was a sub-contractor and not responsible for cost overruns on the project. Francis said the additional cost was, in part, the result of design engineers who did not find problems when the project was inspected prior to the design, plus unanticipated issues.
