The Deer Creek Community Center will host a chicken bash tonight, Wednesday, starting at 4:30 p.m.

The annual meeting for the Deer Creek Community Center will be held Monday at 7 p.m. Included in the business meeting will be a review of past accomplishments and goal setting for the future. Everyone is urged to attend and have a voice.

Faith Lutheran Church is having a men's basketball pick-up game every Monday in October at 6;30 p.m. All men of all ages are urged to attend.

Helen Forgey celebrated her 89th birthday by fixing her own birthday party. Her son, Joe, was here, along with Jill and some of the rest of Helen's family.

Ellen Herr celebrated her 92nd birthday with an outdoor cookout. Her sister, Lovan Johnson, along with Mary Ellen Johnson and the rest of the Herr family including all of Emmitt's family.
