Burlington United Methodist Church will have EVENING SERVICES every Sunday beginning Oct. 19 at 6:30 p.m. This will be an informal service for those who want to worship, but are unable to attend a Sunday morning service. The worship will be a time of prayer, Bible reading, songs, and stories. Dress is casual. The church is located on the corner of 10th and Michigan streets in Burlington.

CARROLL COUNTY REPUBLICAN WOMEN will meet at the Republican Headquarters in Delphi on Monday at 7 p.m. Sandra McCain and Neda Duff are the hostesses. All Republican women are welcome to attend.

In recognition of Make a Difference Day on Oct. 25, the American Red Cross asks all eligible donors to help make a difference in the lives of patients around the country and schedule an appointment to DONATE BLOOD. Join others in the celebration on Tuesday from 1 to 6:30 p.m. at the Burlington Community Park Building.

The blood drive is sponsored by Burlington Kiwanis Club. To schedule a blood donation appointment, call 1-800-448-3543.

Carroll County Extension Homemakers' INTERNATIONAL NIGHT will be Thursday, Oct. 23, at 6:30 p.m. at the 4-H building. The theme this year is Jamaica. Diana Alter and Tammy Scott will be sharing information about their trip to Jamaica and family life there. The evening begins with the following Jamaican recipes for dinner: Pumpkin vegetable soup, Jamaican pork chops with pineapple, jerk chicken, rice and beans, sweet potato casserole, fruit bowl, jungle bread, banana cake, and whole wheat chocolate chip oatmeal bars. DELPHI LIONS CLUB CHRISTMAS PARADE will be Dec. 6 at 1 p.m. The theme this year is 'Old Fashion Christmas.' Anyone interested in participating with an entry contact parade coordinators Ed and Donna Sholty at (765) 564- 3514.

DELPHI AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY UNIT 75 will meet Oct. 15 at 2 p.m. in the American Legion Hall.

WEDNESDAYS IN THE WILD will meet Oct. 22 at Trailhead Park at 1 p.m. Dan McCain will lead a two-mile round-trip fall history walk on the VanScoy Towpath Trail.
