FSA receiving loan apps

The Farm Service Agency (FSA) is accepting applications for two types of emergency loans.

As a result of damage and losses caused by severe storms, tornadoes, torrential rainfall, flooding and flash flooding that occurred from May 30, 2008, and continuing in Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Pulaski, Tippecanoe and White counties, farmers who suffered damage may apply for FSA assistance to restore their operation to its pre-disaster condition. Deadline for applying is March 16.

As a result of damage and losses caused by hail that occurred from June 21-22 in Carroll, White, Cass, Pulaski and Tippecanoe counties, farmers who suffered loss may apply for FSA assistance to restore their operation to its pre-disaster condition. Deadline for applying is April 14.

The terms for emergency loans vary according to the nature of the damage, available security, and repayment ability. For additional information and application forms, contact the FSA office at 517 S. Country Lane, Monticello, or call 574-583- 5641.
