Absentee voting begins

Absentee voting is now under way. All Indiana registered voters are eligible to vote absentee in-person at the Carroll County Clerk's office during regular business hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed from 12 noon to 1 p.m. for lunch), and Wednesday 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

Voting will also take place in the clerk's office on two Saturdays, Oct. 25 and Nov. 1, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Absentee in-person voting will close at 12 noon Nov. 3.

All voters must present a valid Indiana issued or U.S. government issued photo ID.

Absentee-by-mail voters can request an application and voting guidelines by contacting the clerk's office at (765) 564-4485 or (765) 564- 6795. Applications are due by mail by midnight, Oct. 27. Those voting by mail are not required to show a photo ID.

Applicants to vote absentee by-traveling board should contact the clerk's office for an application and guidelines. Voters are not required to show a photo ID and applications are due by 12 noon Nov. 3.
