Marguerite L. Butcher, 92, of Russiaville, died at 3 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at her home.

Born Oct. 11, 1915, in Howard County, she was the daughter of John and Emily Shepard Woolley. She attended Ervin Township schools in Howard County. On April 15, 1933, she married Morris Butcher, who preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 1996.

A homemaker, Mrs. Butcher was a member of Oakland Christian Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Fayella Sims of Russiaville and Mary Jo Tillman (husband: Kenneth) of Russiaville; two sons, William J. Butcher (wife: Julie) of Michigantown and Larry L. Butcher of Russiaville; one son-in-law, George Sheagley of Kokomo; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Charlotte Sheagley; a son; and two brothers, Leonard Woolley and Alonzo Woolley

Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, Wednesday, at Stout & Son Funeral Home Neptune Chapel, 44 Michigan Ave. Burlington. The Rev. Allen Weldy will officiate. Burial will follow in North Union Cemetery, Howard County.
