Oracle ladies win two

The 7th grade lady Oracles A team recently defeated both Wainwright and Frontier.

At Wainwright the Oracles out hustled and out played their hosts to win 16-21, 21-14, 15- 12. They were led in serving by Faith Maxwell who scored 13 service points, Olivia Bieghler had 11 service points, 4 ace serves and assists and Emma Carpenter had 14 service points, 2 aces and multiple kills.

Against Frontier the Oracle A team came out on top, 25-15, 25-9, for their second victory in a row. They were led in serving by Maxwell with 19 service points and 4 ace serves and Danielle Allen with 11 service points and 5 ace serves.

B-team

The B-team worked hard but was defeated 10-21, 9-21 by Wainwright. The Oracles were led in serving by Kelli Claiborne with 4 service points and 2 ace serves and Ashley Mills with 5 service points and 2 ace serves.

The team played an exhibition game against Frontier. They hustled and played hard but eventually lost 9-15.

Sheridan JV blanks Oracles

Delphi's junior varsity football team was defeated Monday night by Sheridan.

Defensively, the team rallied to hold the Blackhawks to 6 points in the second half, First half pitfalls proved too much to overcome.

Oracle doubles team proves sure bet

The Oracle tennis team defeated Hoosier Conference foe Rensselaer in an exciting 3-2 match last week. Cinching the win for the Oracles was the #2 doubles team of James Wethington and Caleb Beighler in a cliffhanger 3-set, third set tiebreaker win. #2 singles Nick Zink won in 2 sets, 6-2, 6-3 and the #1 doubles team of Andrew Flora and Benoit Gaffard won in 2 sets, 6-2, 6-0.

Winning for the JV were Trey White, Quinton Pearson and Tyler Smith.
