Gary B. Stonebraker
Gary B. Stonebraker, 43, of Delphi, died as the result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, near Burrows in Carroll County.
Born in Lafayette on March 27, 1965, he was the son of Richard Stonebraker (wife: Donna) of Flora and Doris Ann Page Johnson (husband: Duane) of Apache Junction, Ariz. He married Trina L. Snider on Oct. 20, 1985, in Delphi, who also died from injuries suffered in the same accident.
Gary was a 1983 graduate of Delphi Community High School.
He had worked as an estimator for Milestone Contractors since 2005 and before that worked 15 years for Jack Isom Construction in Reynolds.
He was a member of the Indiana National Guard for 15 years, and a former member of the Rockfield Presbyterian Church.
He enjoyed fishing, golfing, NASCAR, boating, watching football, and spending time at their pool with his family and with his granddaughter.
Surviving are two sons, Cole S. Stonebraker, a student at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, and Kyle B. Stonebraker, a student at Ball State University in Muncie; a granddaughter, Marlee Stonebraker of Camden; three brothers, Greg B. Stonebraker (wife, Tracy) of Avon, Ill., Glenn B. Stonebraker (wife, Jenny) of Rossville, and Mark A. Hayes (wife: Pamela) of Flora; three stepsisters, Dawn Gusteson, Teresa Ostregrin of Lafayette, and Marsha Ragan of Delphi; grandmother, Thelma Hodges of Delphi; and 11 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Paul V. Page of Lafayette.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at First Assembly of God in Delphi. The funeral service will be held at the church on Friday at 10 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Brent Oliver and Pastor Nord Zootman.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Snider/Stonebraker Grandchildren Memorial Fund in care of Salin Bank in Delphi.
