Terry Dean Snider, 64, of Delphi, died as the result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, near Burrows in Carroll County.

Born on Sept. 16, 1944, in Logansport, he was the son of Maxine Garrett of Camden and the late Junior F. Snider. He graduated from Delphi High School in 1962 and from Purdue University in 1964. On Oct. 11, 1964, in Rockfield, he married Donna Jean Pursch, who survives.

Mr. Snider was employed by Bailey Trucking for one year, and was previously a driver for Schwan's. He also previously owned the former Snider Trucking.

He was honorably discharged from the Indiana National Guard.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi, a charter member of the Kiwanis Club, and a past member of the Lions Club.

His hobbies included NASCAR racing, Purdue sports, golfing, and fixing things.

Surviving are a son, Terry E. Snider (wife, Shawna) of Camden; a brother, Max E. Snider (wife, Gloria) of Logansport; five grandchildren, Cole and Kyle Stonebraker and Erica, Justin, and Kale Snider; and a great-granddaughter: Marlee Stonebraker.

His daughter and son-in-law, Trina and Gary Stonebraker, also died of injuries suffered in the same accident.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the First Assembly of God in Delphi. The funeral service will be at the church on Friday at 10 a.m. Pastor Nord Zootman, Pastor Brent Oliver, and Father Peter Vanderkolk will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Snider/Stonebraker Grandchildren Memorial Fund in care of Salin Bank in Delphi.
