Mary Sue McNally Bryant, 79, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, at the Bowling Green Medical Center, Bowling Green, Ky.

Born Nov. 29, 1928, she was the daughter of Carl Peter and Annie Pierce Mc- Nally. Her marriage was on June 24, 1950, in Bowling Green, to Charles Rogers Bryant. He died on Nov. 2, 1997.

Mrs. Bryant was a graduate of College High School where she received the D.A.R. Good Citizenship Award, and served as a page in Washington, D.C. She graduated from Randolph- Macon Women's College, where she was a member of the AOII.

She was a member of the Bowling Green Girl's Cotillion, Bowling Green Garden Club, The Browning Club, D.A.R., TROA, and was a former member of the First Baptist Church. In recent years she became a member of Christ Episcopal Church.

Mrs. Bryan volunteered her time as a PTA officer, Cub Scout leader, and in Bowling Green High School Band Boosters.

She was an accomplished dancer, seamstress, knitter, poet, bowler and golfer.

She is survived by three children, Melissa Bishop (husband: Dick T.) of Flora, Charles Rogers Bryant Jr. of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., and Peter McNally Bryant (wife: Karla) of Bowling Green; four grandsons and one granddaughter; and one great-grandson.

Private graveside services were held Sept. 19 at Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Flora- Monroe Public Library.
