Local alpaca farm invites visitors
Heritage Farm Suri Alpacas will participate in the second annual National Alpaca Farm Day on Sept. 27.
The local farm, 4175N 1200W, Flora, invites the public to come on that day and learn more about alpacas.
In celebration of Gov. Daniels proclaiming Sept. 27 as Alpaca Farm Day in Indiana, Heritage Farm welcomes guests from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Activities planned include farm tours, fiber spinning and weaving demonstrations, alpaca obstacle course, alpaca Q & A sessions, games and fiber crafts for children - all free. Fall pumpkins will be available for purchase and decorating.
The Heritage Alpaca Collection store will be open in the historic 1850s log cabin on the farm.
