Deer Creek Presbyterian Church, along with five other area Presbyterian churches, will participate in a special World Communion Sunday worship service at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 5 at Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School Auditorium . There will be no worship or Sunday School at Deer Creek that morning. Come and worship with your friends and neighbors.

The women of Faith Lutheran Church meet the last Monday of every month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to quilt. Those attending should take a sack lunch.

The men of Faith Lutheran Church will have a pick-up game of basketball on Monday evenings from Sept. 29 through Oct. 27, starting at 6:30 p.m.

Lavon Johnson will soon celebrate her 95th birthday with all of her family attending. She is the sister of Ellen Herr and the sister-in-law of Mary Ellen Johnson.
