In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the American Red Cross is asking all eligible donors to assist in the fight against all cancers by donating blood. Cancer treatment often involves aggressive use of potent drugs, which kill both healthy and cancerous cells. Blood transfusions can replenish healthy cells that were lost during treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation. The RED CROSS BLOODMOBILE will be at Honan Hall in Delphi on Oct. 2 from 11:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Honan Hall is located at 119 E. Monroe.

CARROLL MANOR BENEFIT LUNCHEON AND OPEN HOUSE will be held Sunday. T-BIRD ENGINEERING will address the commissioners meeting Oct. 6 at 8:30 a.m. about Summerhill Planned Development, a proposed area for boat storage in Jefferson Township. The meeting is open to the public.

A CRAFTS FESTIVAL will be held in the Alco parking lot Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is no charge for booth space but prticipants must sign up at the register.
