Carroll claims Caston Tourney win
      Carroll's varsity soccer team won the Caston Tournament on Saturday for the third time in four years. The Cougars started the day playing Southwood High School from Wabash. With a much improved Southwood team and the Cougars playing a little short-handed, Southwood gave the Cougars a great fight.

Garrison swings way into her 4th regional
      Carroll senior Megan Garrison successfully defended her sectional title, firing an outstanding round of even par 72, five strokes better than her nearest competitor. With the win she advances to the Lafayette Regional for the fourth year in a row.

Knights give Cougars first loss
      The 4-1 Central Catholic Knights overcame a 14-7 deficit early in the game to shut out the Cougars the rest of the game and claim a 63-14 victory. The loss was the Cougars' first for the season. Carroll won the toss and elected to defer, kicking off to the Knights. The Cougar defense held and the Cougars took over. The Cougars scored first on a 1-yard run by Riley Eller.

Gophers put snag in Oracle Homecoming
      The setting was perfect for the Delphi Oracles to get their first victory of the 2008 season on Homecoming Friday. The weather was beautiful and the opponent came into the game with a 2-2 record against less than stiff competition. Despite trailing by 14 points at one time the Clinton Prairie Gophers came back for a 19-14 win.

      Senior Brittney Atwood was crowned Delphi Community High School Homecoming Queen Friday night during half-time festivities of the Delphi-Clinton Prairie football game. She was escorted by Bob Floyd.

      Ryan Van Matre, DC, MS(c), has been contracted by the Professional Golf Ass ociation (PGA) to provide chirop ractic services to PGA Tour golfers. Van Matre was hired to work several events on the PGA Tour and Champions Tour.
