Frances M. Fultz Wilson, 80, formerly of Delphi, died at 11:55 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, at Mulberry Health & Retirement Community. She had resided there the past five days, and had been in ill health the past two weeks. She was a resident at a healthcare center in Lebanon prior to moving to Mulberry.

Born Sept. 8, 1928, in Lee County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Neil and Ellen Runion Fultz. Her marriage was on June 20, 1982, in Pittsburg, to Gordon Lester Wilson Jr., who preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 2002.

Mrs. Wilson, who attended school in Harrogate, Tenn. was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church in Delphi and enjoyed sewing and cooking.

Surviving are two daughters, Sharon Shives (husband: Larry) of Camden and Frieda Baird of Frankfort; four sons, Delano Brooks (wife: Maria) of Panama City, Fla., Randy Brooks (wife: Connie) of Delphi, Dwight Brooks (wife: Opal) of Harrogate and Ricky Brooks (wife: Gwen) of Tazewell, Tenn.; a stepson, Steve Wilson of Brookston; two stepdaughters, Debbie Wentz (husband: Kevin) of Charleston, W.Va., and Vivian Player of Nitro, W. Va.; five sisters, Diane Floyd (husband: Robert "Bob") of Delphi, Patsy Merrill (husband: Robert "Bob"), Renda Cline (husband: Dick), and Barbara McTigue, all of Lafayette, and Brenda Lind (husband: Fred) of Indianapolis; five brothers, Junior Neil Fultz (wife: Pat) of Phoenix, Ariz., Floyd Fultz (wife: Rita) and Eugene Fultz (wife: Carol), both of Lafayette, Jack Fultz (wife: Jan) and Ed Fultz (wife: Lenor), both of Harrogate; 17 grandchildren and stepgrandchildren, 38 greatgrandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were a sister and brother.

Services were held Sept. 13 at Abbott Funeral Home in Delphi. Pastor Kermit Goins officiated. Burial was at I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens in Pittsburg.
