Coffee Beat heats up with Southern Oblivion

Delphi Public Library's Coffee Beat scheduled for Sept. 20 will feature the sounds and styles of Southern Oblivion. This band is far more than three guys strumming guitars. Accomplished musicians, the Alexander brothers add a new dimension to the band's guitar-based sound, with Dennis alternating between driving bass and mandolin, and Rick's intricate solos, soulful dobro and harmonica. The music starts at 7 p.m. The coffee and music are free and desserts are available for a nominal fee. Guests should enter the library through the Indiana Street entrance and continue to the 3rd floor mezzanine for an evening of great entertainment. Photo provided
