The Longaberger Company recently recognized PAM MICHAEL, National Sales Leader of Flora as a 2008 National Sales Award earner the past year at its annual convention, The Bee®, held in Columbus, Ohio.

Michael has been an Independent Longaberger Home Consultant since 1984. The award recognizes Michael for success in reaching guest sales of $45,000-$60,000 last year. She was also #1 in her National Sales Team of 180 members and is also a member of the company's $1 Million Club.

PEAK COMMUNITY SERVICES, INC., will join over 120 other secure shredding companies across the country who are providing free shredding services to the general public during an event that will highlight the importance of protecting discarded personal information.

Law enforcement agencies across the country at all levels strongly recommend that personal information be destroyed before it is discarded.

The event will be held Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at 1416 Woodlawn Ave., Logansport. Members of the public may bring up to 25 pounds which will be destroyed free of charge.

The date of the event coincides with "Secure Your ID Day," a secure shredding event being co-sponsored across the country by the National Association for Information Destruction.

BETHANY RENNER is a new agent at Gangwer Insurance Agency's Rossville location.

A native of St. Joseph County in northern Indiana, she has resided in the Lafayette area for two years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in Terre Haute.

Renner has two years of insurance experience and will be working in the areas of health insurance, including major medical, supplemental, disability, and life insurance.
