The second annual food drive competition between Carroll and Delphi high schools culminated at the recent Bacon Bowl held at DCHS. Both schools' fans brought non-perishable items to the game for the benefit of the food pantries at Flora and Delphi. Although the Cougars won on the football field, the Oracles won the food pantry contest, but it was close. Delphi supporters donated 378 items, while Cougar fans tallied 369. "The idea was to benefit both pantries," said Judy Ayres, Flora food pantry director, "and I think we did that quite well." Delphi FFA members Michael Clendenning and Kara Schwarzkopf are seen holding the "Battle for the Bounty" plaque that will be displayed at the school. The plaque was donated by Eagle Signs & Awards of Flora. FFA led the fundraising effort at DCHS. Photo provided
