      Delphi Post Office, located at 201 W. Franklin Street, will host a PASSPORT FAIR from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Postal Service sales and service associates will help residents with passport applications, fees and photos. All applicants must appear in person (including minors).

      Jeff and Brooke (Smith) Shuler of Delphi are parents of a 6-pound, 13-ounce daughter, Kennedy Paige, born Aug. 20 at Home Hospital in Lafayette. Grandparents are Paige and Debbie Smith of Delphi, and Alan and Kathy Shuler of Camden. Maternal great-grandparents are Dave and Janie Smith of Delphi and Steve and Marilyn Goodrich of Rockfield.

      Sunday School will resume at Deer Creek Presbyterian Church starting Sept. 14. The adult Sunday School class meets in the library at 8:45 a.m. Worship and Children's Sunday School for Pre-K through 6th grade is downstairs starting at 10 a.m. during worship.

Carroll graduate serving in Peace Corps
Says Corps is languishing because of budget deficit
      Editor's Note: After graduating from Wabash College in 2007, Sterling Carter joined the Peace Corps as an agriculture volunteer. He is living in Niger, West Africa, in a village with no electricity and no running water. Niger is one of the poorest countries in the world, ranking close to last on the United Nations Development Fund index of human development.
