Oracle JV shines
The JV Oracles easily won their first game of the season, defeating Logansport 30-0.
Scoring for the Oracles were Aaron Back, Stephan Back, Tanner Lynde, and Matt Brown.
Jay Moudy added his first career catch in the first half. Defensively, the Berries were totally shut down. They only reached the Oracle 40-yard line one time.
Carroll soccer team wins three in a row
Carroll soccer team came away with its first ever win against the Tri-Central Trojans last Thursday. Final score was 4-1.
The first 20 minutes were scoreless before a Kiel Lester throw in went over the defense to Chase Meade who put the Cougars on the board 1-0. The next 30 plus minutes were again scoreless with both teams having good shots at goals but unable to finish.
With 25 minutes to go in the game Michael Myer converted on a 30-yard direct kick and the Cougars never looked back. Codey Meade got his first two goals of the year for the Cougars with his brother, Chase, getting assists on both goals. Cody Abdon had 6 saves.
Next up for the Cougars was Rossville Tuesday. A schedule change of Central Catholic was made for Thursday. The Cougars are now 3-0 (1-0).
