Family Services, Inc. is currently accepting nominations for the 2008 Distinguished Family of the Year. This award was established to honor families whose members work and play together, support each other, reach out to others, and display important assets necessary to lifelong happiness and success. Nominees must reside in Tippecanoe, Benton, White, Carroll, Clinton, Montgomery, Fountain, or Warren counties.

"Everyone knows of a family from their neighborhood, church, work or school that really stands out and makes them say 'Wow, that's what being a family is all about,'" said Mike Warner of Family Services, Inc. "We want to know who those extra-special families are."

Distinguished families will be honored at Family Services, Inc.'s Annual Awards Dinner in November, as part of the National Family Weeks celebration, observed November 15-29.
