Appraisal Fair is Sept. 14; proceeds benefit museum

Carroll County Historical Society is sponsoring its second Appraisal Fair on Sunday, Sept. 14, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Carroll County Courthouse Rotunda. Rain date will be Sept. 28.

Local area experts will be on hand to give an idea of the value of items brought to the fair. Their specialties include, but are not limited to: Coins, pottery, antiques and primitives, collectibles, glass and china, and paper and Native American artifacts.

Appraisers will include Doug Davies, Jim Humberg, G.L. Smith, Ed Keller, Don Hickman, Don Burkhalter, Richard Stringfellow, Howard May, and Dale Bartlett.

Cost will be $5 per item, with a limit of two items. Proceeds will go to the Carroll County Historical Museum Building Fund.
