Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Yeakley of rural Logansport will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house on Aug. 31. The event will be hosted by their sons and grandchildren, Ben, Curt, Emma, Adam, Nicole and Caden and will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. at Rinehart's "Gathering Barn."

Yeakley, a retired farmer, and the former Lona Roberts were married on Aug. 31, 1958, at Crooked Creek Baptist Church near Indianapolis with the Rev. Orville Sutton officiating.

The Gathering Barn is located between Carrollton and Burlington on SR 29. The huge white barn with house and tall flagpole is located on the east side of the road. Watch for a "Yeakley Anniversary" sign in the yard.
