Smith Accident Fund Insurance Company of America along with Henriott Group presented BRENNECO FIRE PROTECTION of Flora with an award on Aug. 5 to show their gratitude for the continued dedication in improving safety processes and procedures within the company and continued achievements within the ABC Safety Step Program.

STAN SMITH, a long-time Cutler resident, has joined the sales team at Dick Kreig Motors.

Smith has been selling cars for 34 years in Lafayette, Frankfort and Kokomo. He invites his past customers and friends to come see him at Dick Kreig Motors.

Smith has one son living in South Dakota. He enjoys flying remote control airplanes and is the safety officer for the RC group, Orbiters.

Lafayette Bank & Trust Company, National Association, has elected JASON BRICKER and MARK E. HOWARD to its board of directors. Bricker is executive vice president and chief financial officer of Kirby Risk Corporation in Lafayette. Howard, a life-long resident of White County, is president of Howard and Sons John Deere Implement in Monticello and operates the family farm.

Salin Bank & Trust Company has recruited ALVIN T. "KIT" STOLEN III, to be president and chief operating officer.

Stolen brings to Salin more than 30 years of bank management experience, leadership development and human capital consulting. He is former president and CEO of Union Federal Bank of Indianapolis.

In January 2007 he joined Achievant, a human capital management company that helps businesses maximize the performance of their associates through software and leadership development consulting. While associated with Achievant, Stolen served for several months as interim CEO and interim CFO at Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana (RHI). Stolen is currently chairman of the board at RHI and serves on the Finance Committee for the St. Vincent Health System.
