AMERICAN LEGION POST 75 has a new Web-site. They would like to invite the public and area vet's to visit the site at www.legionpost75 delphi.com.
GED CLASSES begin Aug. 26. Classes will meet every Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. in room AA4 at Delphi Community High School. Students may join the class at any time during the school year. There is a $22 deposit for books if they are to be used outside of the classroom, but the classes are free. Delphi Presbyterian Church will host its SENIOR CITIZENS' MONTHLY LUNCHEON today, Aug. 20, at noon in the church Fellowship Hall. An elevator is available for those in need. Call Susan at (765) 564-2371 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. to request a ride or information.
RESTORED B-17 BOMBER RETURNS IN SEPTEMBER. Local EAA Chapter 256 is hosting the B- 17 at Purdue University Airport, on Sept. 4 - 8. Five Daily flight tours (missions) begin Sept. 5 at 9:30 a.m. each day (max 10 riders each flight). Ground tours begin daily at 2 p.m. Contact EAA National to arrange a flight. Visit our Web-site at

The Indiana Alcohol & Tobacco Commission (ATC) will hold a PUBLIC AUCTION Sept. 29, beginning at 11 a.m., in the Indiana Government Center South, Conference Center, Room A, 302 W. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN. Several types of permits will be available. Only prequalified bidders may participate. Bidders must submit pre-qualification applications to the ATC on or before Sept. 15. A listing of available permits, as well as the necessary pre-qualification forms, will be available at www.IN.gov/atc.
Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School will host a MEET THE TEACHER NIGHT AND ICE CREAM SOCIAL on Thursday, Aug. 28, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. All parents will go through their child's schedule, so they should bring a copy of the schedule. This is an evening for the teachers to put names with faces and go over classroom guidelines and expectations.
