Hoosier North loses Colt World Series thriller

      Just like it had in almost every game of the entire Colt World Series, Hoosier North let the drama play out during its final at-bat in the last inning of its 2-1 semi-final loss to eventual champion McAllen, Texas last Tuesday night at Loeb Stadium.

Football season begins
      Regular season games get underway Friday night for both Delphi's and Carroll's football teams. The Cougars will travel with new head coach Steve Keown to Tri- County. Kick-off is at 7 p.m. The Oracles are host to Central Catholic at 7 p.m. Head coach is John Gasser.

      Fall Baseball League Russiaville will host a Fall Baseball League for 8U and 11U teams. All teams including those outside of the Russiaville area are welcome. Games will be played on Saturdays starting on Aug. 23. The league will conclude with an end of season tournament on Oct. 4.
