Owen "O.B." Brant, 7 0 , Mooresville, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, in his residence.

O.B. was

born Oct. 22, 1937, in Deer Creek, to the late Rutherford and Mary Louise (Hillis) Brant. He graduated from Deer Creek High School and earned an associate degree from the University of Indianapolis.

He had been the Chief Financial Officer for Foundation Health Systems and also worked as the Vice President of Information Technology at Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Indiana.

Most recently, O.B. owned Bourbon Street Distillery in downtown Indianapolis.

In addition, he enjoyed playing golf and horse racing.

O.B. proudly served in the United States Navy and was a member of the Mt. Zion Masonic Lodge #211, Murat Shrine, and the Scottish Rite.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy (Kays) Brant, to whom he was united in marriage Oct. 24, 1982; two daughters, Katie Brant of Mooresville and Lisa Hastings; a son, Keith Brant; a brother, Bob Brant of Florida; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 14, in the Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 p.m. until time of service. Inurnment will be in Mooresville Cemetery, Mooresville.
