Elected officials to examine region's workforce
Locally elected officials will be attending sessions to contribute to development of a State of the Workforce Report for Workforce Region 4, starting next week. Representatives from Benton, Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Fountain, Howard, Miami, Montgomery, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Warren and White counties are expected to participate.
The State of the Workforce Report is being developed at the request of the Economic Growth Region 4 Workforce Board. Purpose of the document is to examine the issues surrounding the current workforce as it effects the region's economic development. Following research and input from a variety of audiences, the final report will be completed and made pubic by mid 2009.
The sessions were held Tuesday in Kokomo and Delphi and today, Aug. 13, in Lafayette and Attica.
