Blickenstaff Whiteaker is promoted
Marcie J. Whiteaker has been promoted to the rank of master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.
Whiteaker, a flight chief with 14 years of military service, is in the 99th Security Forces Group, Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, Nev.
She is the daughter of Lauretta and Michael Whiteaker of Rossville.
The master sergeant graduated in 1992 from Rossville High School, and received an associate degree in 2007 from the Community College of the Air Force.
Completes basic training
Air Force Airman Casey L. Blickenstaff has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations.
In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Blickenstaff earned distinction as an honor graduate.
The son of R. Steve and Cheryl Blickenstaff of Delphi, he is a 2004 graduate of Delphi Community High School.
