Monticello Eclipse Softball tryouts

Monticello Eclipse 12U will hold open tryouts for the 2009 season at Voight Park, Monticello, on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon and Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.

Monticello Eclipse 14U will hold open tryouts for the 2009 season at Voight Park, Monticello, on Aug. 9 and 17. Registration will be at 1:30 p.m. with tryouts from 2 to 4 p.m. both dates.

Carroll football

Carroll Jr. High football equipment pick-up will be Thursday at 7 p.m. in the auxiliary gym.

DCHS fall sports

Physicals are required for all participants on or before the start date.

High School

Football practice began Monday and continues through Aug. 14 from 3 to 10 p.m. at DCHS practice field.

Boys Tennis practice began Monday from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. at the DCHS courts (rain or shine). Call Joyce Lawton at (765) 447- 1464 or 564-3481 ext. 2300 with questions.

Girls Golf practice has begun at the Carroll County Country Club.

Soccer practice also began Monday. Twice daily practices are being held from 8- 11 a.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Riley Park Annex.

7th and 8th grade football practice will start Aug. 11 after school. Questions may be directed to Dick VanSickle at 564-3148.
