Be sure to bring your folding chairs and/or blanket to the annual "Back to School Bash" Aug. 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Delphi Community Elementary School. The evening will serve as the annual Meet-the-Teacher Night for parents and students and will be held at the back of the school.

The evening will include free hot dogs and porkburgers fresh from the grill, free drinks, door prizes, clowns, animal balloons, face painting, music, and different inflatable obstacles for children to explore - Adrenaline Rush, Three-in-one Combo Bounce with Slide and Castle Bounce.

During the bash parents are expected to meet briefly with their child's teachers during pre-arranged times: Grade 1 - 6:30 p.m.; Grades 2 and 3 - 7 p.m.; Grades 4 and 5 - 7:30 p.m. Parents will be called over the intercom to enter the building to meet the teacher. A flyer will be sent home with students on the first day of school.
