Services for James Eldon Green, Sr., 80, of Zephyrhills, Fla., formerly of Delphi, were held July 11 in Zephyrhills. Interment with military honors followed at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla.

He died July 9, 2008.

He was born May 28, 1928, in Somerville, Ind.

Mr. Green was retired from Lafayette Home Hospital where he worked security. After his retirement he and his wife moved to Zephyrhills.

Surviving with his wife of 57 years, Reva M. Green, are six children, Ed Green (wife: Wanda) of Arizona, Robert Green (companion: Mary) and Vonagene Schley (husband: Richard), both of Indiana, James Jr. Green, Timothy Green and RaDonna Osborne (Don Gelinas), all of Florida; three brothers, Richard Green (wife: Raydene), Claude Green (wife: Katherine) and Manson Green; four sisters, Maude Wilson (husband: Danny), Mary McGillem, Martha Graves (husband: Ramond), and Esther Green; 13 grandchildren; and 12 greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.
