Joint Vacation Bible School with Deer Creek Presbyterian and Faith Lutheran churches will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All area children pre-kindergarten age through sixth grade are invited.

Since this is about "God's Big Backyard," kids are encouraged to bring their sleeping bags or a blanket. Pre-registration is encouraged by calling the Presbyterian Church at 859- 3671 or Jane Myer at 859- 4121.

A VBS program will be held during Sunday morning worship at the Presbyterian Church. Members and friends of Faith Lutheran Church are invited to worship and stay for a furnished lunch. The Presbyterian Church would like a head count of those planning to attend the meal.

In August during the fellowship hour, Faith Lutheran Youth Group is asking members and friends to bring school supplies for children who are in need to church during the fellowship hour.

Janet Hertenstein will celebrate her 90th birthday on Saturday at the Deer Creek Community Center from 2 to 4 p.m. All are invited to attend and wish her well with cards and good will.
